BICKS · EARLY ACCESS

Terms & Conditions

Bicks, operated by Dan Bickels as an individual based in Israel. Contact: support@bicksjournal.com.

These terms govern your use of bicksjournal.com (formerly bicks.app) and the optional Bicks Journal Chrome extension, operated by the person identified above. Read them together with our Privacy Policy. Contact Support if you have questions before accepting.

1. The service

Bicks is an early-access trading journal for recording and reviewing your own live trades, backtests and skipped setups. Features include personal trading models, notes, screenshots, statistics, reports, supported imports and optional voice-to-trade extraction. Feature availability and technical limits may change as the service develops.

Bicks is not a broker, investment adviser or trade-execution service. It does not hold your funds, submit orders, copy trades between accounts or manage a brokerage account. A journal entry or import is a record, not an instruction to place a trade.

2. Eligibility and account security

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into these terms. Provide accurate account information, use an account you are entitled to use, and keep your credentials and paired-extension access secure. Access is personal: do not share credentials or use another person’s account without authorisation. Notify Support promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. Bicks Support will not ask you to disclose your password or broker API secrets.

3. Trading decisions and data accuracy

You are responsible for your trading decisions and for checking information before relying on it. Statistics, strategy grades, backtests, imports, transcripts and AI-generated fields can be incomplete or incorrect. Past performance, hypothetical results and journal statistics do not predict future returns. Nothing in Bicks is a personalised recommendation to buy, sell or hold an instrument, or a guarantee of profit.

Review extracted fields and imported records before saving. Confirm important prices, times, amounts and results against your own source records. Bicks is not an official broker statement, accounting record or tax filing service.

4. Your content and processing permission

You retain ownership of the journal content you provide. You give Bicks a limited permission to host, copy, transmit, display and process that content as needed to provide, secure and support the features you use, including through the providers described in the Privacy Policy. This permission does not transfer ownership, authorise public marketing use of your private journal, or authorise sale of your content or training Bicks’ own AI models on it.

You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload or import content, including screenshots and information involving other people. Do not submit credentials, broker API secrets or unnecessary sensitive information. When you choose optional AI extraction, the audio or text and relevant personal-model definitions are processed as described in the Privacy Policy. AI output must be reviewed by you.

5. Permitted use and Bicks materials

You may use the service for your own journaling while complying with these terms. Bicks’ interface, branding, software and other service materials remain the property of their respective owners; these terms do not transfer ownership of them or of third-party materials.

Do not use Bicks for unlawful activity, infringe another person’s rights, upload malicious code, access another user’s data, bypass authentication or usage limits, or disrupt the service. Do not impersonate someone else, resell unauthorised access, or automate abusive requests. Report suspected vulnerabilities privately to Support without accessing other users’ information.

6. Early access, fees and availability

The current pilot has no subscription charge. AI processing has usage allowances and depends on provider availability; manual journal entry remains available when an AI allowance is exhausted. Bicks may change features or limits. A future paid plan would require a separate purchase decision and disclosure of its price, billing, cancellation and applicable refund terms before purchase. These terms do not authorise an automatic charge or subscription.

You provide your own compatible device and internet connection. Service interruptions, processing failures and data-sync issues can occur. Keep independent copies of important trading records. Settings exports currently cover trades, notebook notes and report settings, rather than every item in your account. Confirm that important changes have synchronised before clearing device storage or switching devices.

7. Third-party services and extensions

Bicks depends on third-party hosting, authentication, storage and AI services. Their availability and your use of their independent services may be subject to their own terms. Links are provided for information and do not guarantee another service’s accuracy or availability. Bicks is not affiliated with or endorsed by a broker, prop firm or trading platform merely because you record its trades.

The optional Chrome extension connects to your Bicks account and submits journal information you choose to send. It does not execute trades. You can disconnect the extension or revoke paired extensions in Settings; entries already saved remain in your journal until deleted.

8. Suspension, leaving and discontinuation

You may stop using Bicks at any time. Use available export controls to preserve the records you need, and contact Support to request account deletion. Account deletion and retention, including minimal deletion markers that prevent restoration by older clients, are described in the Privacy Policy.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a security risk, unlawful activity, abuse or a material breach of these terms. Where practicable and lawful, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue. Immediate action may be needed to protect users or the service. If we discontinue the pilot, we will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to export where practicable. Suspension or discontinuation does not override mandatory privacy or consumer rights.

9. Service limitations and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the early-access service is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation, complete data accuracy, suitability for every purpose, or particular trading results. We do not accept responsibility for your independent trading decisions or promise to reimburse trading losses.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for intentional misconduct, or limits mandatory consumer, privacy or other statutory rights. Any limitation applies only to the extent the law permits it; these terms do not require you to waive non-waivable remedies.

10. Changes, disputes and contact

Material changes to these terms will be presented for renewed acceptance before continued workspace access. The version displayed above identifies the terms you are being asked to accept. Continued use alone is not treated as a substitute for that renewed acceptance in the workspace.

Contact Support about a concern or dispute so we can try to resolve it. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or prevent you from contacting a competent court or regulator, and they do not displace protections that apply to you by law. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
